Suns fire Watson after 0-3 start

PHOENIX (AP) The Phoenix Suns have fired coach Earl Watson just three games in to the NBA season.

The Suns announced the firing Sunday night after hours of meetings at the team's headquarters.

Assistant coach Jay Triano, a former head coach of the Toronto Raptors, was named interim coach.


Wolves stun OKC on Wiggins' 3 at buzzer

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Andrew Wiggins didn't have time to get near the basket for a final shot.

Just inside halfcourt was close enough.


Clippers PG Teodosic out indefinitely

LOS ANGELES (AP) Milos Teodosic has a plantar fascia injury in his left foot and the Los Angeles Clippers say he will be out indefinitely.

The star guard of the Serbian national team was hurt during the second quarter of the Clippers' victory over Phoenix on Saturday.


Suns' Bledsoe tweet: Dont wanna be here

PHOENIX (AP) Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe vented his frustration with the struggling team on social media Sunday as the news of coach Earl Watson's firing surfaced.

"I Dont wanna be here," Bledsoe tweeted.


Irving fined $25K for incident with fan

NEW YORK (AP) The NBA has fined Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving $25,000 for responding to a fan with inappropriate language.

Kiki VanDeWeghe, the NBA' executive vice president of basketball operations, announced the fine Sunday.


Crabbe scores 20, leads Nets past Hawks

NEW YORK (AP) The Brooklyn Nets thought their rebuilding phase was right on track when they signed Allen Crabbe to an offer sheet in the summer of 2016, only to see Portland step in and match it.

After finally being able to acquire him in a trade with the Trail Blazers in July, Nets coach Kenny Atkinson is starting to see some of the intangibles that Crabbe's brings.


Ceremony held for Magic owner's wife

ADA, Mich. (AP) A private ceremony has been held for Michigan philanthropist Helen J. DeVos.

Direct-sales company Amway said in a statement that DeVos was buried Saturday in Ada, near Grand Rapids.


Curry, Durant ejected as Warriors fall

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) The Golden State Warriors not only lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, they lost their cool in the closing minute.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant both were ejected with 43 seconds left Saturday night, a fitting end to a frustrating night for Warriors in a 111-101 loss to Memphis.


Magic stun Cavs, end 17-game series skid

CLEVELAND (AP) The Orlando Magic certainly know how to end a long losing streak.

Nikola Vucevic scored 23 points and the Magic snapped a 17-game skid against the Cleveland Cavaliers, routing the defending Eastern Conference champions 114-93 on Saturday night.


Antetokounmpo's 44 get Bucks by Blazers

MILWAUKEE (AP) After scoring a career-high 44 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo wrote a note on the game ball.

"This is for daddy. We got a win tonight," the 22-year-old Milwaukee Bucks player said, remembering his father, Charles, who died last month at age 54.
